The Pacers Absolutely STINK At The Moment, But Obi Toppin Showed He Is An Athletic Freak Of Nature By Touching The Shot Clock

The World Series is on, why are you watching October NBA basketball? What a loser move. Certainly wasn't me excited to see the next installment of Hicks vs Knicks, only to watch the Pacers get their doors blown off at MSG. Tyrese Haliburton blamed pre-game naps on his poor shooting performance during Indiana's season opener in Detroit, and after another dog water shooting night, it's evident that Haliburton is sleep walking through the first few games of the season.

But, to be fair, everyone not named Ben Mathurin has STUNK. The entire team went 3/30 from 3 point range against the Knicks. After watching opening night against the Celtics I know the NBA record for 3's in a game is 29, but going 3/30 has to be an NBA record for worst shooting performance in the history of the league. The performance was so all around bad that the Pacers socials were struggling to find things to post. Literally our best highlight came from a ball wedged behind the back board.

LOL. That's it. If you're an Indiana fan that wasted your time watching Pacers vs Knicks, this was the only highlight that got the juices going. Forget the ball boy handing a mop to the center and having him poke the ball free, Obi Toppin is a freak of nature that looks like he's jumping with the moon's gravity. Even Knicks player's respected it. KAT's is dumbfounded that someone has enough bunnies to reach that ball, and even Josh Hart took to twitter to pay his respects …

While it's sad our only highlight is Obi Toppin jumping freakishly high, I'm not panicking or ready to start overreacting to how this season will go. The starting line up has looked completely off so far, but Indiana's home opener is tomorrow and it's the perfect get right game against a depleted 76'ers roster. Plus, it's October, plenty of time to get their chemistry going again.
